Where Jesus is first and people are loved.

Beacon is a family of believers—where Jesus is first, people are loved, and the gospel of grace is cherished and shared. We are serious about God’s truth and Jesus’ mission. We exist to BE DISCIPLES AND MAKE DISCIPLES! We believe this is accomplished in three primary purposes as a church: Christ-centered Commitment, Christ-filled Community, and Christ-like Compassion!

Our Beliefs

  • The gospel changes absolutely everything. It is the good news of salvation presented to all mankind through the finished work of Christ. He is the solution to all of the effects of sin in our hearts and in the world. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Gal. 2:16)

  • The gospel opens our eyes to the truth. The Holy Spirit uses the gospel through preaching, teaching, and discipleship to open blind eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ. It instructs, corrects, and sanctifies our lives, making us more and more like Christ. The Word of God is our final authority for faith and practice. (2 Cor. 4:5-6)

  • The gospel makes us worshippers of the true and living God. The Father seeks to transform us into a people who exalt God through Jesus Christ alone. We are committed to God-centered public worship as a congregation, as well as in our families, and in our private lives. (John 4:23)

  • The gospel is aimed at creating local Christian communities. This leads to the planting and flourishing of local churches. We are committed to teaching and living as a body, serving each other, and serving within our community and cultural context. (1 Thess. 1:8)

  • The gospel is good news for all the peoples of the world. It calls us as a congregation to be senders and goers, extending the gospel to every tribe, tongue, and nation. We are committed to making disciples, marking disciples through baptism, molding disciples through teaching, and multiplying disciples through training. (Matt 28:18-20)
